DAY 1 ATHENS-SOUNION 30 MILES

SOUNION

You arrive at the airport and are met by a member of the travel agency that takes you to your yacht. There, you meet the captain and the crew and are offered welcome drinks and appetizers while you are shown around the yacht. We will soon depart Athens for Cape Sounion. Cape Sounion is noted as the site of ruins of an ancient Greek temple of Poseidon, god of the sea in classical mythology. The remains are perched on the headland, surrounded on three sides by the sea. According to legend, Cape Sounion is the spot where Aegeus, king of Athens, leapt to his death off the cliff, thus giving his name to the Aegean Sea. Below the temple is a small bay with crystal clear waters and a lovely beach. Enjoy the waters from the swim deck of your yacht swimming under the shadow of the ancient temple. Afterwards enjoy a dinner with gourmet tastes prepared by your chef. You can enjoy the sunset with its bright orange colours having a drink on the deck. It is one of the best places to view it in Greece. We will anchor in the bay for the night

DAY 2 SOUNION-ANDROS 34 MILES

ANDROS

After a leisurely breakfast, we sail for Andros. Andros is the northernmost island of the group with a great naval tradition. In Andros, apart from the sandy beaches, there are rocky coastlines, mountain ranges alternating with fertile plains, lush vegetation and abundantly flowing streams. After conferring with your captain you can anchor in any of these and enjoy the crystal-clear waters from the swim deck of your yacht with some water sports. A rich and tasty lunch will have been prepared for you by the time you are finished. You can eat taking in the view of the Aegean waters and the island’s mountains. The island’s main town is home to famous Greek captains and ship owners, and the architecture of the houses is a remarkable combination of medieval, neoclassical and island styles. Flights of stairs, a spacious square with trees, narrow streets, remarkable churches and museums, shops, cafes and restaurants play their part in the beauty of the place. To top that beauty off, there is a Frankish castle on an islet connected to the main island with an arched stone bridge of the 13th century. Return to your yacht for a luxurious dinner and a quiet drink on the deck under the starlit sky, enjoying the town’s nightlights.

The island's port town and capital, is still considered by many as the Greek Saint-Tropez and it never fails to allure the crowds that flood it every year, thanks to its unique character that locals have managed to preserve almost intact to this day. Around narrow, whitewashed streets there are white cubicle houses clustered, with their tiny balconies, coloured windows and liliput yards lined by bougainvillea and pots of basilica. Numerous little churches and chapels, hidden minuscule piazzas and water wells, as well as the multitude of colourful shops are there to further accent this chaotic picturesque setting, where a simple stroll can turn into the most exhilarating experience.
