Levitha is just on that wonderful border between known and utterly unknown.

Why Visit
Among yachters, it's a treasured secret, because its four potential harbors are so situated that one of them offers safety in almost any kind of weather. No matter which way the winds are blowing, there's an anchorage at Levitha and just enough of a social community to make a stop there worthwhile.

If you want the feeling of "owning" an island without doing so, Levitha might just fill the bill. There are walking routes and even some vaguely defined ancient ruins dating to at least Hellenistic times. If you're looking for a classic Greek island without even formal electricity (though there may be a generator), Levitha may be the one for you.
